Well. I have done 6 projects with RAC. Most of them were uncompleted due to the coder dropping out (there’s no way you can prevent this) or due to sheer incompetence of the coder.
I don’t think the projects were technically hard. Even simple things like logging time were not done correctly.
The system forces you to communicate with your coder INSITE. And the site is slow as hell, with any mail needing a “confirm” button. Thus, each communication (I have over 50 in any project) takes a few seconds, when it could be a few miliseconds by email or any other more efficient means.
My advice: don’t waste your time. Elance seems to get this right, they have just implemented a system that lets you chat/talk by phone with your coder! I haven’t tried it yet, but will.
I have several projects at RAC and all of them done properly and still I have many other projects under processing.
I have never had any problem with coders at RAC.
